TRIANGLE Episode 13

As one side strikes, how will the opposing side react....

We start off with the reunion between Jung Hee and Young Dal. Jung Hee approaches him and ask a few questions. He tells her he had things to take care. Disheartened, Jung Hee asks if he really had no time to just give her a call. Young Dal confesses that he wasn't sure if he should call or not because he wasn't confident about changing his life around. Jung Hee feels discouraged and lashes out about how she waited for him for a year. As she walks away, Young Dal stops her to tell her how much he missed and thought of her. He says the reason he was embarrassed to go see her was because he realized how pathetic his life was in jail. Jung Hee calls him a fool and they hug.

At Dae-Jung, Yang Ha is in his office. The conversation with Dong Soo is still fresh in his head. This only pisses him off more. Chairman gets word of Dong Soo's stunt. Pil Sang takes the opportunity to bad mouth Yang Ha, saying a lot of problems arose after Yang Ha became director.

Young Dal finally is back home and is greeted by Jung Hee's grandma. She offers to make him any meal he wants. At dinner that night, Jung Hee's youngest brother asks Young Dal about jail food. Grandma asks if he really had no support or memories of a family. Jung Hee stops her family from bombarding him with more questions. As he is eating, we can see Young Dal crying.

The plan proceeds as both are hard at work. Dong Soo gets information on a man by the name of Lee Young Geun. His former colleague warns him that this person is an influential person in town and to be careful. Young Dal meets with Jang Soo's father and asks for his old job. Later, Jang Soo asks why he would go back to work here. Young Dal explains that he doesn't want anyone to suspect him or know his real plans. He goes with Jang Soo to the underground casino. He doesn't get a warm welcome from Man Kang and Madame Jang. Instead he asks for money since he is fresh out of jail. His next meeting is with the elder. The elder asks if he is going to use his hidden card now and inquires how he can help.

Yang Ha gets scolded by Chairman after revelation from Pil Sang. He is given an ultimatum - take care of Dong Soo or lose everything. We see a familiar scene where an anxious Yang Ha is taking pills after meeting with Chairman. He meets with Bok Tae to tell him everything. Bok Tae is still angry. He tells Yang Ha that he bought a lot of shares. They figure they have to get rid of Dong Soo. Bok Tae tells his man to find Young Dal. Later, Yang Ha meets with the elder at a restaurant. The elder says he'll work with Dae-Jung, but adds his own condition to the agreement. He wants Yang Ha to use one of his men when he says so. Yang Ha reluctantly agrees.

Shin Hye and Dong Soo meet up to talk progress of the plan. Dong Soo fills her in on his intentions with Lee Young Geun. Lee Young Geun works with Dae-Jung. Usually when a big problem arises at Dae-Jung, Lee Young Geun takes care of it. Dong Soo wants to break their relationship. Shin Hye receives a call from Young Dal. They meet at a restaurant to talk about recovering his past memories.

At the casino, the senior dealers gathered the others to confront one dealer, who went against the rules and met a customer outside of work. Jung Hee stands up for her fellow dealer. The senior dealer brings up her rumor with Yang Ha. The other dealers use that rumor against the seniors, who don't dare say more seeing as the rumor might be true. Later on, Jung Hee's dealer friend approaches to ask if she wants to meet with the manager of a casino in Seoul. Jung Hee is reluctant even after hearing about the better pay there. Her friend says she can always send her family money or just move the entire family if her family is the reason she is unsure.

President Min and Team Leader Bae from the casino are seen meeting in secret. She gives him an envelope and tells him his plane ticket is already booked for the weekend. Later on we find out the reason for the meeting. President Min clues Young Dal in on the team leader. He goes to Macau every weekend to gamble. Team leader has lost a lot of money. President Min says they can get all information about the casino if they give him money. She also says she'll take care of this part. Young Dal thanks her and asks her for a favor - block Bok Tae from getting any information about him.

Yang Ha is waiting for Jung Hee to walk by after work. When he spots her, he gets out of his car. Unfortunately for him he witnesses the next scene. Young Dal also had the same idea. Jung Hee seems happy to see him, while Young Dal becomes shy. Jung Hee takes the opportunity to tease him a bit. Young Dal bashfully asks Jung Hee on a date. Jung Hee doesn't agree to it, saying she likes aggressive guys. So Young Dal takes her hand and off they go. They head to a market where they walk, eat, and shop. Grandma sees the pair coming home together. She looks a bit bothered. She chats with Jung Hee in her room about her intentions with Young Dal. Grandma tells her no matter how nice he is, she does not want them together.

Dong Soo is on to the next stage of his plan. He tases, kidnaps, and ties Lee Young Geun up. He proceeds to blackmail him with photos. To take things further, Dong Soo brings up Young Geun's daughter and how she would feel to see photos of her father with girls younger than her. Dong Soo tells him what he wants - to end the relationship between Young Geun and Dae-Jung. Later on, Shin Hye meets with Dong Soo. He has been drinking. He says that although he got what he wanted, he feels dirty and pathetic. The only thing Shin Hye can do in the moment is cry along with Dong Soo.

Junho hands over the VIP list to Jerry. Team Leader Bae sees them together and approaches them. Jerry leaves and Leader Bae asked if he was Young Dal's friend. Leader Bae reports to Yang Ha that Young Dal is back to his old job and is living at Jung Hee's. Yang Ha calls Bok Tae. Bok Tae thinks Young Dal isn't the right person for the job of taking Dong Soo out. Yang Ha tells Bok Tae to take care of Young Dal as well. After the conversation, Bok Tae order's his man to bring Young Dal.

Lee Young Geun is meeting with Chairman. Chairman tells him he needs his help - pull some strings for us. Young Geun informs him he is backing out from the resort project. When asked why, Young Geun tells him it is complicated. After the meeting, Young Geun calls Dong Soo to tell him it is done. Dong Soo warns him that the relationship better be over.

Young Dal has his meeting with Bok Tae. Bok Tae greets him with a smile and they hug. He asks why Young Dal never called to tell him he was in jail. Young Dal explained that he was too embarrassed to call. Bok Tae wants to know what he has been up to after his release. Young Dal gives a vague answer, saying he was just managing. Bok Tae assures him he is still one of his men and asks if Young Dal trusts him. Young Dal puts on an act by saying he doesn't think he is worthy. Bok Tae asks if he is being too modest. We see Young Dal strut away after the meeting with a different demeanor than in the meeting. The men discuss Young Dal after the meeting. Bok Tae's man doesn't believe Young Dal can do the job. Bok Tae says he doesn't have a glint in his eyes anymore.

The team leaders are discussing the other casino's tactic of recruiting their employees.  Later on, Jung Hee is called in to meet with the leader. Team Leader asks her if she has been recruited. Jung Hee tells her she heard about it. The team leader wants to know more and understands if she was recruited since she did win the last competition (the one Yang Ha helped her with). The leader tells her to think carefully and advises her you can't climb if you jump from ship to ship. Jung Hee is told to go to the director's office, Yang Ha wants to see her. In the office, Yang Ha hands Jung Hee her ticket to Las Vegas. He slyly says he has to be in Las Vegas next month and suggests they go together. Jung Hee is taken aback and all Yang Ha can do is smile.

In the Chairman's office, Chairman is pondering about his conversation with Young Geun. There is a flashback to the meeting. Young Geun tells Chairman that Dong Soo threatened him to cut off all ties or else his dirty past would be exposed. In the present, Bok Tae pays a visit. Chairman wants Bok Tae to take care of Dong Soo.

Dong Soo is back in his home. He has set up a memorial for the anniversary of his father's death. Young Dal stops by. Dong Soo tells him a bit about his father. Young Dal feels something familiar when he sees the picture of Dong Soo's father. He just writes it off as resemblance to Dong Soo. They discuss their plans. Young Dal divulges that his meeting with Bok Tae was just as he expected. Dong Soo tells him his part is going well.

Elder meets with Yang Ha at Dae-Jung. He reiterates his condition to which Yang Ha agrees to. He later meets with Young Dal at President Min's office. He tells him the deal is done, but warns Young Dal that Yang Ha is a powerful opponent. His advice to Young Dal is the key to winning is patience.

That night, Yang Ha waits for Young Dal outside his home. He warns Young Dal to stay away from Jung Hee. Young Dal jokingly says he would if Yang Ha buys him a house. Yang Ha would if it was outside Sabuk. Young Dal breaks it to him that although he may be a thug who scams, he isn't a beggar that takes handouts. Yang Ha warns him not to take his words lightly. Young Dal counters that Jung Hee already likes him so if he doesn't like this, he should try winning her heart.

Young Dal goes to Shin Hye's home for a hypnosis session. Dong Soo walks in on the session and quietly watches. Shin Hye explains opening one door will open his memories and asks what he sees. He explains that he sees his younger self holding his younger brother while his older brother tells him to protect the youngest while he is gone. In his memory, he sees himself crying, afraid. In the present, he is also crying while remembering the scene. Shin Hye looks over at Dong Soo, who is frozen after hearing all of this.



Thoughts:
Young Dal and Dong Soo have really done themselves in. Their enemies are out for them and this time sending them to jail is not enough. Hopefully now that they are playing smarter, they are also more careful. With every strike, they will only put themselves in more danger.
