TRIANGLE Episode 10

The stakes are getting higher as the war wages on.

The game begins. Young Dal's plan is lose first to ward off suspicions before really beginning after the cards are switched out. Yang Ha waits for this moment and asks Dong Soo to check out the live stream. He tells him his plan and asks him to remove Young Dal once they catch him. Dong Soo is perplexed as he infers for more information why. Yang Ha makes it clear he wants Young Dal locked up behind bars.

Back in the room, the crew is putting on an act as Young Dal continues to lose. Young Dal gets a text from Dong Soo to leave the room and call him immediately. Dong Soo spills the beans and orders him to leave. Conflicted, he goes and gets the crew out of the room to discuss what they should do since they can't go on with the scheme. Young Dal decides to  play the game for real and his crew are up in arms with the ridiculousness of his new plan. Starting his new plan means higher stakes. First game in and he loses, but that didn't stop him from playing. In the office, Yang Ha diligently watches the live stream while Dong Soo looks away worried. He then brings his attention to Yang Ha. He has this longing stare as he watches Yang Ha, which is reminiscent of his expression when he first met Yang Ha.

Young Dal and his crew are seen leaving the casino with long faces. Jung Hee is comforted by her dealer friend about what just happened. Noonim barges into the underground casino to a pissed off Madame Jang and Man Kang. They break it to her that Young Dal had won a record breaking amount of money at the casino.

Yang has a meeting with the team leaders to figure what went wrong. Basically nothing suspicious was seen and before they thought to switch out dealers it was already too late. After the meeting, Dong Soo asks if the amount loss was damaging to the casino. Yang Ha assures it'll likely bring more people in instead. Dong Soo inquires how Yang Ha knows Young Dal and what he has against him. Yang Ha tells him he met Young Dal by chance and that he just rubs him the wrong way. He also discloses he will do anything to get Young Dal behind bars. After Dong Soo leaves, Yang Ha watches last night's footage again. What catches his eye is a scene of Young Dal staring straight into the camera with a smirk on his face. This causes Yang Ha to lose it.

Young Dal is enjoying a meal with his crew when he gets a call from Dong Soo asking him to meet up. Young Dal thanks Dong Soo for giving him a heads up. Dong Soo compliments him on looking like a real gambler last night and asks him how he knows Yang Ha. Young Dal gives a familiar answer- we met by chance and he's a total jerk. Dong Soo warns him that Yang Ha has it out for him. The mood changes and Young Dal seems upset and a bit taken aback. Dong Soo ends their meeting telling Young Dal to be careful since their work isn't done yet. Young Dal tells him not to worry and that jerks like Yang Has don't scare him. His facial expression says otherwise.

Jung Hee comes home after a long day. She recieves a text from Young Dal telling her he won all thanks to her and that his win isn't settling as he thinks it might have caused trouble for her. Jung Hee texts back that she's fine. She also reveals that gambling scares her and that she felt nervous that Young Dal was the one making large bets. "A person's luck can't always be good." She wishes that he won't gamble his life away.

Dong Soo and Shin Hye meet up for coffee. They talk about her father and Dong Soo's new position. He reveals his plan - have his enemies take each other out. He thinks his plan will work because of their greed.

Back at Dae-Jung, Pil Sang tells Chairman the
executive board believe Yang Ha is given too many responsibilities and are against him. Chairman fires back that Pil Sang is supporting all of their concerns because Yang Ha got rid of all of his people. He tells him directly that all he has to do is support Yang Ha. Yang Ha had Dong Soo's background looked into. He finds out Dong Soo's father was the head of the union committee - the same person his father had killed. Later he meets with Shin Hye to ask why Dong Soo is obsessed with Go Bok Tae. She tells him she thinks it is because Bok Tae killed some of his collegues in the past. Yang Ha takes his acquired information to his father. He isn't sure if Dong Soo knows the truth about his father so his suggests to the Chairman to let him go. The Chairman doesn't share the same sentiment - he would rather keep him because you need to keep your enemies closer

Dong Soo meets up with a former colleague who informs him Go Bok Tae has been harassing one of the Dae-Jung shareholders. Dong Soo asked about the favor from prior. His former team member tells him he found and saw "her." "Her" is his mother.

Young Dal and President Min meet to talk about his meeting with Big Boss Go. He is proud to reveal he is now one of Bok Tae's men. Instead of congratulating, President Min warns him that there is no loyalty with gangsters - Big Boss can act like a business man all he wants,  but he is still a gangster.

Yang Ha meets with Bok Tae. Bok Tae finds it funny that Dae-Jung hired Dong Soo. The laughs are cut short when Yang Ha informs him Dong Soo is the son of the man Bok Tae killed. Both Bok Tae and his right hand man are shocked. Yang Ha divulges that they don't know if Dong Soo knows anything. He also takes the opportunity to strike up an alliance - Dae-Jung shares and a stake in their resort venture if they join together. All Yang Ha wants is Young Dal thrown in jail.

Young Dal and his crew are arrested after a raid at their casino. Their only hope is for Bok Tae to bail them out, but that doesn't come.

Thoughts:
So the tide turns. The episode was boring for the majority of the time, but it has nicely set up the next batch of episodes with this episode's ending. I didn't think the two heavy hitters in this war of three would form an alliance so soon. Not exactly how Dong Soo thought things would go down. Instead he was the one to bring his enemies together. Young Dal's lucky streak ended.  Everything was too good to be true before coming down. How exactly will this pair bounce back now then they are going head to head with two giants? In the episode prior, I mentioned that their alliance seemed one sided. If Young Dal knows better he should know where his place should be after getting back-stabbed so quickly.
