TRIANGLE Episode 20

You win some, you lose some.

As their attention is drawn to Dong Soo, Young Dal shoves Yang Ha's hands off him. Young Dal reminds him he has an image to uphold as the heir of the establishment. Yang Ha warns him of his mistake. Young Dal shares that he knew Yang Ha was behind sending them to jail. Young Dal gives him fair warning that he will came at him hundred folds if he plays dirty. Yang Ha glances from Young Dal to Dong Soo, who has a worried look on his face. Yang Ha walks away and Young Dal turns his attention to Dong Soo. Dong Soo approaches Young Dal while his attention stayed on Yang Ha. Dong Soo asks what the altercation was about. Young Dal says pay back and asks what Dong Soo is doing here. Dong Soo wanted to check on Young Dal. Young Dal assures him things are going according to plan.

Junho informs Myung Jae about complications with the background check. They argue they have money. Junho tells him that it wasn't just about money, but about having class. His man grabs on to Junho and asks if he meant his boss didn't have class. Young Dal arrives to an angry Myung Jae. Myung Jae threatens to wreck the joint. Young Dal orders Junho to issue a VIP card. He informs Myung Jae that he will share a room with other clients. He explains that his request came unexpected and if he wanted his own room, he would have to wait a week. He goes on to tell him about how there is not a betting limit when clients play together. Myung Jae agrees to this setup.

Jung Hee and two other dealers are appointed to the VIP room.

Dong Soo is thinking back to his conversation with Jin Soo when Young Dal arrives. They continue their meeting in a more private area. Dong Soo asks if he remembers his dreams he mentioned before about getting married and finding his brothers. Young Dal says those are a thing of the past and that he doesn't have the luxury to dream right now. Dong Soo expresses his wishes of wanting Young Dal to realize his dreams. Young Dal takes this as him giving up on their mission. He argues that he can't just let the individuals that killed their father off scotch free. All Dong Soo can do is sigh.

In the Chairman's office, Yang Ha is getting scolded. The Chairman gives him one last warning - end things with Jung Hee and apologize to Miss Sung. Yang Ha refuses, which earns him a slap. Chairman says he will end things himself if Yang Ha can't do it. He orders for Jung Hee to be fired. Yang Ha says he is done with Dae-Jung if he does this. Chairman expresses his discontent with Yang Ha's behavior and tells him to resign immediately. Yang Ha storms off and the aid tries to offer to take care of Yang Ha. Chairman tells him it was a mistake to adopt Yang Ha.

The dealers are being prepped on who they are dealing for today. Leader Hwan advises them there will be trouble if they mess up. There is no turning back and the dealers are led the VIP room. Myung Jae enters. Both Myung Jae and Jung Hee are surprised to see each other. Awakening from her shock, Jung Hee is told to start.

Outside the room, Jang Soo is prepping President Min and Man Bok. President Min is nervous about messing up the plan. Jang Soo gives them the deal - if Myung Jae is happy, bet the minimum; if he is pissed, bet the maximum. This boosts up the morale as they head to the room.

Young Dal is in deep thought when Junho enters to tell him the plan is starting. He starts the live feed and watches. President Min and Man Bok enter. They mention they had a reservation. Myung Jae suggests they play together. President Min calls first dibs on betting since she reserved the room. She also proposes an offer - loser has to meet the winner's demands. Myung Jae warns her she is making a risky bet since she doesn't know what he wants. He tells her he wants them to hand over Young Dal if they lose. President Min has no problem with that and tells him her demand - for him and all his men to leave Sabuk and never come back. Myung Jae accepts and the game starts. Junho rushes into the office to inform the crew about the bet. While his friends are against it, Young Dal expresses he is okay with it. If they are scared of losing, then it is not a real gamble.

Yang Ha is sitting at a bar when Miss Sung joins. Yang Ha cuts straight to the point. He wants to know what Young Dal offered her. She corrects him, saying it was all just a business deal. She implies Yang Ha is trash and tells him how he hurt her pride.  She goes on about Jung Hee and how she was a fascination he shouldn't have taken seriously. Yang Ha gets it and tells her to get lost. For hurting her, she declares she wants revenge and leaves.

In the VIP room, Myung Jae lost all of his money. His man goes to find Jang Soo's father to get more. They agree to use the rest of Myung Jae's building as a guarantee for 10 billion won more. Jang Soo's fathers meets with Madame Jang and Man Kang within the casino to update them on the situation. Man Kang asks if he was sure they can recover all of their money. Jang Soo's father assures them that President Min is taking care of it and if they were to sell the building, they can make double the amount.

Jang Soo and Jerry report to Young Dal that things are almost over. They talk smack about Myung Jae's lack of skills. Myung Jae is down 30 billion won. But his money supply isn't completely gone. At Bok Tae's office, he gets word of the game and Myung Jae's request for money. Bok Tae calls him personally and hears about the bet. He agrees to send him some money. After the call, he orders his man to send over 3 billion won. He says everything can end in one blow with this game.

After receiving Bok Tae's money, Myung Jae suggests they raise the stakes and end it in one game. President Min is hesitant and excuses herself to think about it. The crew holds an emergency meeting. While they voice their opinions against the bet, Young Dal smirks. President Min and Man Bok reenter the room and agree to the bet. Myung Jae bets it all on the banker, while President Min bets all her chips on the player. The cards are dealt and the crew is nervously watching the live feed. Both player and bank show zero and the game continues.  Myung Jae watches closely as President Min looks at her cards. She passes her card to Jung Hee who reveals the card, which is a two. Myung Jae smiles as he checks his card. He laughs as he hands over his card to Jung Hee. She flips it over and reveals an ace. President Min wins and the crew is in an uproar in the office. Bok Tae's man gets a call about the large bet game. He is flabbergasted that Myung Jae bet all of his money in one game.

President Min looks exhausted as she meets Young Dal. She shares that this was the scariest thing she faced. Myung Jae approaches them with a smirk. He tells Young Dal that he came for him, but assures him that he will keep his promise to leave and not come back. Young Dal thinks that it'll be better if Myung Jae cuts ties with Bok Tae. Myung Jae doesn't need to hear this because he knows it himself. Myung Jae says it is all over for him and bids his farewell. President Min questions if he'll change his mind. Man Bok assures them that Myung Jae stands by his words. Young Dal orders them to return the building to Myung Jae if this turns out to be true. The team agrees to this.

Shin Hye meets up with Dong Soo. She gives him an update on the orphanage director and says it is only a matter of time before they know everything. Dong Soo tells her there is no need for it. He shares what he found about Yang Ha from Jin Soo. Shin Hye advises him to stop Young Dal. Dong Soo doesn't know how to break the news. She tells him he needs to do it now before they hurt each other more. Dong Soo wonders if they should back out since he heard Yang Ha has a good life. Shin Hye tells him he is wrong. She explains why Yang Ha was adopted and about his fears. She believes that he needs his brothers more than the Chairman in order to be happy.  Dong Soo is even more confused.

Jung Hee is walking home when Yang Ha approaches her. She suggests that he should go home since he is drunk. He agrees to it since he got to see her. He shares how he only has her now that he abandoned everything. He doesn't finish his thought when he talked about what he would do if she left his side. He apologizes before walking away. Jung Hee watches him with an uneasy expression.

In the Chairman's office, he orders his aid not to mention Yang Ha. He tells Pil Sang to cut Yang Ha off from the casino completely and to fire Jung Hee. Jung Hee arrives to work to an angry Leader Hwan. She asks Jung Hee if she did something bad behind her back. Jung Hee denies and asks her reason for asking. Leader Hwan informs her they received an order to fire her. Jung Hee wants to know why since she has done nothing wrong. Leader Hwan informs her HR will contact her. Leader Hwan enters the office and informs the staff about Yang Ha and Jung Hee. Leader Bae sneaks away to call Yang Ha, who doesn't answer. As the crew is strolling in, Junho informs them about the latest news. Young Dal barges into Pil Sang's office for answers to why Jung Hee was fired. Pil Sang tells him about the situation and how it was Chairman's orders. He makes it clear that if he has a problem with this to take it up with the Chairman.

Shin Hye meets with Jin Soo. He says Chairman is getting ready to kick Yang Ha to the curb. He recalls when Yang Ha first found out about his adoption. This caused Yang Ha to attempt suicide. This was also how he started meeting with Shin Hye. Based on the current situation, Jin Soo is worried about Yang Ha and asks for Shin Hye's help.

Yang Ha is passed out from drinking as Leader Bae enters his room. While he is trying to wake him up, he still calls him “director." Once awake, Leader Bae asks if the rumors are true. Yang Ha confirms it. Leader Bae asks if he is going to let Young Dal win. Yang Ha expresses how tired and pathetic he feels about getting caught up with Young Dal. He is over it. Leader Bae pleads with him. He reminds him that he is Chairman's son and that no father would abandon their son. He tells him to stay strong.

Dong Soo meets with Shin Hye. She updates him on what Jin Soo told her. Dong Soo questions why Chairman would go this far. Shin Hye says it is because Chairman is disappointed with Yang Ha's abilities. She reminds him that Chairman sees Yang Ha as an heir before he sees him as a son. Shin Hye shares that Yang Ha might do something fatal.

Jung Hee enters Pil Sang's office, wanting to know why she was fired. She won't accept her firing without a legitimate reason. Pil Sang says he has a lot, but this was a decision made by Chairman. She reminds him that she already told him there was nothing between Yang Ha and herself. She asks why she had to be fired for Yang Ha's feelings. Before she leaves, she threatens to file a complaint with the ethics board if they don't give a legitimate reason for firing her.

Yang Ha is strutting around Dae-Jung when Young Dal stops him. He wants to know why he would do this to Jung Hee. Yang Ha questions who Young Dal is to reprimand him like this. He also questions what he is to Jung Hee. He tells Young Dal the reason he was interested in Jung Hee was because he couldn't understand why she would like trash like him. He couldn't stand to watch her give her heart to him. Pissed, Young Dal punches Yang Ha in the face. He yells for him to get up. When Yang Ha does, he gets punched again. Jung Hee yells for Young Dal to stop. She says she isn't backing down or giving up her dream so there is no need for Young Dal to be upset. She tells Yang Ha she isn't going to blame him. She advises him not to make things hard for himself because of her.

Jung Hee arrives home after drinking. She expresses her sorry towards her grandma for making her suffer. Grandma explains that she isn't suffering. She expresses her gratitude and apologizes for having all the burden fall on Jung Hee. Jung Hee says she will earn a lot of money so she can get her nice things and send her on trips. Alone in her room, Jung Hee cries. She receives a call from Young Dal, who is waiting for her outside her home. She rushes to see him. He embraces her and they kiss.

Pil Sang reports to Bok Tae about Yang Ha's current situation. Bok Tae is curious to who will become the heir. Pil Sang eludes that it could be himself if Bok Tae agrees to help. Bok Tae explains that there is nothing he can't do to help. The twosome evilly laughs.

Shin Hye and Yang Ha are out on a stroll. She comments on his appearance and he explains it is because he has been heavily drinking. Shin Hye knows his situation and asks what his plans are. Yang Ha isn't sure himself. He doesn't know if he should work hard to gain Chairman's acceptance or give it all up because he doesn't have what it takes. Shin Hye assures him that he is more than capable and that it is Chairman who can't realize this. She tells him to stay strong. Yang Ha wonders if the reason there is no one by his side is because he has been living his life all wrong. Shin Hye believes he has the right people by his side.

Young Dal is stopped by Dong Soo at work. Young Dal happily tells him how he got rid of Myung Jae and Yang Ha. He now wants to quickly get rid of Chairman and Bok Tae so he can finally live out his dream. He says he'll introduce him to Jung Hee soon, which only leaves finding Dong Woo. Dong Soo says he already did and he is already in his life. Young Dal wants to know how. Dong Soo breaks it to him that Yang Ha is Dong Soo.

Thoughts:
One reveal down, one more to go. I really wanted to see more of Young Dal's reaction, but that is what cliffhangers are for. Dong Soo had to reveal the news to Young Dal out of fear. Keeping this information must've been hard, but I feel bringing the family together will be even harder.

Although he is down, Yang Ha does have people on his side. Leader Bae seems loyal. From how I see things, it isn't loyalty in order to win, but just loyalty plain and simple. Although Shin Hye is on the other side, she seems to be there for him just because. There isn't some shady reason. She was his psychologist before and remains loyal to the doctor-patient relationship.

Hand claps for Jung Hee. Although she is going through a difficult situation, she doesn't give up or let it show. I liked how she told off Young Dal and Yang Ha. They had to have felt embarrassed afterwards.

The plan to get rid of Myung Jae was entertaining to watch. Although he does bad things, Myung Jae seems like a respectable guy seeing as he keeps his word. It seems like Young Dal sees this as well and that could be the reason he gave back the building.
