Thoughts:
TVN churns out another good drama that strays a bit from the norm of drama land. Just the synopsis alone drew me in.

The family consists of sons and an uncle, with their mother/sister as the family matriarch. She knows very well about the curse of the number nine. So to prepare herself and the family, she meets with a spiritual adviser, who totally gets her concern (and wants her money). He yields his warnings and predictions and sells her a talisman to get these guys through the year. Unfortunately for the mother, these guys don't buy into it and proceed to delete the talisman the mother sends them. This is where their troubles begin.

Each male of the family goes through their own struggles and learn from these trying times. The take away message of the show is nice. The ending isn't so typical. In drama land, everyone wants the happy ending. So when we get it, we are satisfied and move on to the next show. In this drama, the ending isn't really like an end. For these characters, it is more like their lives are going to go on, which we won't get to see, but what we got out of it, we can sense that every character will be okay in their future paths. Usually this kind of ending is unsatisfactory, but in this drama I am actually content that the writers went this way.  I can see that this tough year was also a blessing since they experienced things and learned important lessons that will be utilized in the future. Even though the show is ending, it appears as if these characters have so much to look forward to as they begin again.

Acting-wise, the actors and actresses in this drama all perform well. No complaints from my end.

Let's talk about the music though.... I just love the music choice for this drama. The music is mostly indie artists, which I like. There were numerous times that I had to stop and replay a scene just so I can try to figure out the song playing.

Verdict:
Overall, it is a good drama. Time flew by when I watched it.
I recommend it.
