Review: Crime Scene (Season 2)

Synopsis: A variety show that tests the cast's detective skills as they take on different aliases and try to solve a different murder mystery each week.

Number of Episodes: 13

Thoughts:
I absolutely loved this show. While I was away from dramaland, I was watching variety and competition shows. This show was one I was anticipating each week.

The show goes like this:
There is a new case each week where the detective and characters have to figure out who the murderer is. Each week, the fixed cast is joined by a special guest or 2 as they act out each case. One cast member is the detective, who is never the culprit. Everyone else has a detailed character that they have to act out. They begin each episode with a murder. Everyone goes around in pairs to the different scenes to find clues. They are allowed to take 10 pictures to present to the rest of the group as evidence. Once they have all gathered, they takes turns showing their findings. Then the detective gets to cast one vote for who they think committed the crime. Next, they are allowed back on set together to have another look at the scenes. At this time there are more evidence and the cast are allowed more time to browse. This is also the time where they start pleading their case and pointing their fingers at each other. Everyone gets one vote on who they think is the culprit including the detective, who gets 2 votes total in the game. The culprit voted in gets locked in a jail and the show reveals the real culprit. If they catch the real culprit, then those who voted for that person get money. If the real culprit wasn't caught, then the culprit wins the money. Among the cast and guests, the 3 people with the most accumulated money from all episodes gets to take home their earnings.

This show is a must watch. It is so detailed and well played by the cast and even the guests. This is key in the show's success. When you think of variety shows you expect to have a good laugh and move on. This show on the other hand is very stimulating. The show really makes the viewers feel involved by making you think and piece together clues as you play along. Even after the show, it makes you think.

Verdict:
Watch it!
